March Welcomes Thor!

Snowman says... Hang on to your mittens my friends!! Thor will arrive on Tuesday afternoon between 3 - 5 pm.  Thor will bring significant snow and ice.  It will start out as snow, then change to sleet and freezing rain by 8 - 10 pm.  At around midnight, we could see a combination of rain, sleet and snowWe will see light drizzle during the day on Wednesday and then it will change to snow.  The snow will stick around through Thursday evening ending  between 2 - 6 pm.  There is a Winter Weather Advisory for our area from      3 pm Tuesday to 10 am Wednesday.  We will have school tomorrow and I think we could make it through the day.  It is all about the timing.  After school activities will be cancelled for Tuesday.  Wednesday could start as a delay and could potentially end up as a snow day.  Thursday we could see a 2 hour delay and depending on the snow totals we could be off again.  I will be watching this storm very carefully.  Have a peaceful evening- xoxo

March is coming in like a ... Spartan!

Snowman says... Winter storm Sparta has been at our heels all day!  It has created many problems for motorists throughout the day.  We will see this storm leave our area early Monday morning.  With this in mind I think we will see a 2 hour delay in the am.  Thor is the next  winter storm we have to be watching.  It is in the west right now and we will see a direct hit Tuesday into Wednesday.  There is also another storm that I am watching that will approach our area Wednesday into ThursdaySpring is coming,  just not yet.  We need to get through this week and next!!  Have a peaceful evening and I will be back for updates as the night moves on.  xoxo

Here we go again...

Snowman says... It's not over yet, my little snowballs.  We will see a little snow this week, but hang on to your icicles, next week is a pip!  Enjoy the next few days, even though we will see freezing temperatures.  I am looking at the possibility of ice, snow and freezing rain on Monday 3/2.  Tuesday - Wednesday we could experience some significant snow.  It is still early and remember this is a prediction.  I will continue to update you as the week progresses. Have a warm and peaceful evening.

DANGEROUS COLD TONIGHT!

Snowman says... We are under a wind chill advisory from midnight tonight to 10 AM Friday.  We can see wind chills as low as 15 below zero.  Prolonged exposure could cause frostbite.  With this extreme weather I think we will have a 2/3 hour delay in the morning!  I am also watching the potential for another storm late Tuesday into early Wednesday am.  I will keep you posted as the days move forward.  Stay warm!

Marcus will stay around for a little while!

Snowman says... Marcus will linger around our area from today through Tuesday morning.  We might not see high accumulating snow, but the ice will be a huge factor in why we will see delays and closings over the next two days.  We could see snow totals ranging from 2-4, 4-6. and some areas locally up to 8/9 inches.  This storm has been a hard one to nail down.  I think we will have a closing tomorrow and a 2 hour delay Tuesday am.  The storm has just begun so I will be updating as the evening progressesStay safe and have a wonderful day! xo
